💡 Understanding How AI Thinks
About Course
Artificial intelligence can answer questions, create images, analyse documents and help solve problems. Its responses can feel remarkably natural, but what is happening behind the screen? Understanding How AI Thinks makes the technology easier to understand without requiring a technical background.
Across seven accessible lessons, you will explore how language models use tokens, parameters and neural networks; how training shapes their abilities; and why they can produce convincing answers that are wrong. You will also examine what reasoning models can do and why their results still need to be checked.
The course explains the difference between a model’s active context, stored conversations and saved memories. It also explores bias, fairness and the role people play in testing AI systems, challenging their outputs and taking responsibility for important decisions.
By the end, you will have a clearer picture of how modern AI processes information, where it can help and where its limitations matter. The aim is to replace mystery with practical understanding so you can use AI more confidently and assess its answers more critically.
