About Course

This course examines how AI is reshaping creative practice across art, design, music, photography, film, animation and digital media. It explores how intelligent tools are being used to generate ideas, develop visual concepts, create music and voices, edit photographs, produce video and support increasingly connected creative workflows.

Learners will discover how modern generative systems work, where they can accelerate experimentation and how professionals combine AI-generated material with established creative skills. The course distinguishes between producing a convincing output and developing purposeful work with a clear message, audience and artistic direction.

It also considers the difficult issues accompanying these technologies. These include copyright, authorship, training data, style imitation, voice and likeness rights, creative employment, disclosure and the ownership of AI-assisted work. Rather than presenting unsettled legal and ethical questions as resolved, the course explains why different uses, industries and jurisdictions may require different approaches.

AI can generate remarkable patterns across images, sound and video, but human creators remain responsible for context, judgement, originality and the consequences of what is published. No technical background is required. The emphasis is on understanding how creative AI is being used, where its limitations remain and how it can be approached critically and responsibly.

As creative technology, industry practice and regulation continue to change, relevant developments remain constantly on our radar and the course is kept under continuing review.
