About Course

AI is transforming the workplace at a pace that makes long term career planning increasingly difficult. Across many sectors, organisations are using intelligent systems to automate tasks, support decisions, increase productivity and redesign complete workflows. The effects may appear through changing responsibilities, smaller teams, reduced recruitment and higher performance expectations as well as the creation of new work.

This course provides a practical and balanced examination of how careers, organisations and the wider labour market are evolving in an AI enabled economy. It explores intelligent automation, generative AI, large language models and emerging AI agents, examining how they affect job design, entry level opportunities, workplace collaboration, leadership, creativity, governance and long term career development.

Learners examine which tasks and occupations are most exposed, why automating part of a role can still reduce employment, and where human knowledge, judgement, communication, responsibility and trusted relationships continue to provide value. The course avoids claiming that any profession or human capability is completely protected. Instead, it shows how technical capability, organisational decisions and economic pressure combine to determine what happens to work.

The course also considers reduced trainee recruitment, the loss of traditional development pathways, workplace monitoring, job quality, professional identity and the unequal distribution of AI’s benefits and risks. It explains why new jobs may not appear in the same locations, require the same qualifications or provide realistic alternatives for everyone whose work is affected.

Practical lessons help learners assess their own exposure, use AI responsibly, identify realistic development priorities and build a broader career strategy. Governance, data protection, human oversight, AI literacy and accountability are treated as operational responsibilities rather than abstract principles.

Designed for professionals across all industries, managers, business leaders, educators, consultants, students and anyone preparing for the future of work, the course provides a realistic framework for understanding change without relying on either exaggerated predictions or false reassurance.

Because this field continues to develop rapidly, emerging workplace uses, labour market evidence, regulatory changes and new forms of automation remain constantly on our radar. The course is kept under continuing review so that its coverage reflects how AI is actually changing employment rather than how the future was predicted at one fixed point in time.

By the end of the course, learners will be able to evaluate how AI may affect their work, distinguish task exposure from actual employment outcomes and develop a practical response based on evidence, occupational knowledge and realistic options. The objective is not to promise protection from disruption, but to help people understand it early enough to prepare.

**Excellent, Practical and Very Relevant**

A really practical and thought provoking course for anyone wondering how AI may affect their career or workplace. *The AI Career Playbook* does not focus on hype or unrealistic predictions. Instead, it explains what is actually happening with automation, jobs, skills, workplace change, and long term career resilience in a clear and balanced way.

I particularly liked the sections on which skills AI cannot replace, how to adapt your current role, and the psychology of change. It feels relevant to both beginners and experienced professionals who want to stay ahead rather than be caught out.

Well structured, easy to follow, and highly relevant for the workplace in 2026 and beyond.
